ABOUT US

We build affordable precision agriculture solutions that help farmers collect accurate yield data from any combine.

FarmTRX builds aftermarket precision agriculture technology that farmers install on their combine harvesters to collect yield and moisture data from their fields. This data is used to create detailed yield maps that help farmers see quantifiable benefits season after season:

  • Avoid wasting resources in the low-productivity zones
  • Take full advantage of the highly productive areas
  • Minimize environmental impact by more targeted use of fertilizer and other inputs

FarmTRX operates at the intersection of agriculture, hardware, and software. Every unit we ship ends up on working farms across North America, South America, Europe, and beyond.

Perry Casson, FarmTRX CTO & Co-Founder

Perry Casson“It all started back in 2015. We had just started to get into variable-rate fertilizer on our farm, and wanted to validate what we’re doing with our agronomist. At the time, we had three combines, but none of them had a working yield monitor. All products on the market at the time looked dated and were quite expensive.

So I thought, why don’t we build a low-cost data logger that can pull information off the harvester, let me see yield data in real time on my phone, and push the data up to the cloud and create detailed yield maps?

I have a background in both software and hardware and was able to build our first prototype. Finally, we could see what was happening in the field. That’s how it all started.”
